We have found four cool places to hang out with friends after school on a Friday, and on the weekends! These places are located in Marylebone, which is very accessible from school, and in Shoreditch which is accessible by train. We will be recommending cinemas, and temporary exhibitions.

EVERYMAN CINEMA

Everyman cinema is located in Baker Street, only a 12-minute walk from the school, which is super close and convenient. The perfect thing to do on Friday when we finish earlier is hanging out with friends, which is a great way to start off a relaxing weekend.

At this link you can check out the latest updates!

It’s a small, cozy cinema with big couches, where you can sit comfortably for hours. We were greeted with a menu, and excellent food service, with meals perfect for early dinners. Overall we give it a 9/10, a great experience to recreate.

MARBLE ARCH MOUND

The Marble Arch Mound is a fake mountain installation with a free, and secret gallery inside. Although it was very small, it was still worth going for a day out. We enjoyed the gallery a lot. Inside, there were light cubes with all kinds of optical illusions.

It is a cute, little pop-up shop on a corner on Carnaby street that you should visit with friends. It’s an exhibition of women’s bodies,  with vibrant and entertaining works of art. Something we enjoyed about the exhibit was the little interactive activities. We spent a lot of time there, and had fun while doing so. Super cute, and trendy for Instagram pics!

VAN GOGH IMMERSIVE VIRTUAL EXPERIENCE

The Van Gogh exhibition has been making its way around London for the past few months, and is now in shoreditch. Shoreditch is about fifteen minutes away from school by train, so it’s very accessible. The exhibition is a great way to learn about Van Gogh’s paintings, and of his life. It’s also interesting to see his paintings come to life, and be projected in such a big room.
