I will admit before I came to Halcyon I had no idea what a passion project was! But now that I do, I can say that I love it. I was basically just told to find something I was passionate about and then instead of just writing down one word, to make that word into a question. After that, we had some sessions of just researching and gathering information, but then the fun began. The last bundle of sessions are dedicated to making the 3D element for your project. When I first heard about this part, I was completely amazed. In my old school we had done 3D projects, but we didn’t have so much time to do them, so I was very happy spending the last sessions making and creating. And then comes the big finale, we each set up our projects, 3D models, and whatever we brought from home in the stern hall in a semi circle and all the teachers come to see our work. Overall I would say that I loved doing my passion project and that I am very much looking forward to doing it again next year!
