As some of you – or, well, a lot of you – may know, there is going to be a roof garden coming to Halcyon. Rita Halbright, co-founder and board chair, told the Halcyon Happenings, “This expansion represents a pivotal moment in Halcyon’s evolution.”
Through contacting Mr Taylor I have learnt that they are expecting the roof garden in September of 2025.
Responses from my class, grade six shows their hopes split. Some think that it shouldn’t be used for classes whilst other think that it should be used for class like PHE drama English art and other classes, and the majority believed that it would become a second Stern Hall – a place to go whilst there’s lunch or snack. Some weren’t sure what they were excited for, whilst one wanted to see if we could have a trampoline on the roof.
